Sansio™ HealthEMS® Now Integrates with OneDose®, Eliminating Duplicate Charting for EMS Crews
Bi-directional data exchange brings point-of-care documentation directly into the patient care record with no re-entry required.
Every medic knows the moment: the call is done, the patient's handed off, and now it's time to go back and chart everything you already documented once — the dose, the route, the time you pushed it — because that information lived in one app and your patient care report lives in another.
That's the workflow Sansio™ HealthEMS® and OneDose® are closing with a new integration between the two platforms. Clinical data captured in OneDose at the point of care now flows directly into Sansio’s MobileTouch EMS platform automatically, in the moment, without a second pass through the chart.
The Problem This Solves
OneDose was built for the field: protocol guidance, weight-based dosing, and real-time documentation as care happens. HealthEMS® is built to hold the finished chart — the version your agency reports from, bills from, and runs QA/QI against. Until now, those two jobs meant two entries: one live, one rebuilt afterward from memory or a scratch note. That second entry is where accuracy slips, and it's time crews would rather spend on the next call or getting home on time.
How It Works
Once an agency has both platforms connected, data documented in OneDose is sent to Sansio’s MobileTouch EMS platform as structured, NEMSIS-formatted data with no extra steps for the crew. That includes:
• Patient weight and weight-based dosing calculations
• Medications administered and dosing details
• Treatment interventions performed
• Timestamps for key events during the call.
Nothing changes about how a medic uses OneDose in the field. What changes is what happens next: the documentation lands in the patient care report on its own.
Why It Matters
For crews, it's one less pass through the chart after a run. For QA/QI teams and medical directors, it's a patient care record built from what was actually done in the field, not just a reconstruction of it. For agencies using HealthEMS®'s Medical Necessity Scoring and QA/QI tools, it means those tools are working from more complete data, sooner.
"Medics shouldn't have to document the same care twice," said Kris Ruhl, Director of Product at Sansio. "This integration lets OneDose data move directly into MobileTouch as it's captured in the field. It's one less thing standing between medics and the patients they're treating."
Getting Started
Agencies already using both OneDose and HealthEMS® can contact their support teams to enable the connection. If you're using one platform and considering the other, this integration is a good reason to have that conversation now.
OneDose and Sansio are hosting a joint webinar on Wednesday, August 5th at 1:00 PM CST to walk through the integration. Register here.
